Karya

Dalam kelainan..
Adakala aku alpa,
Sakit...
Sakitnya
Sakitnya Itu Didada ini...

Mencari dan terus mencari arah cahaya...
Agar jalan yg dilalui kurang durinya,
Sambil berjalan tusukan duri ditepi pula menyambar..L
Luka,
Terus berdarah..hancur kulit dan isi.
Baiknya kalau duri memahami...buka laluanku agar kurang teruji.
Aku bukan malaikat...bukan juga nabi.
Hatiku rapuh bisa saja hancur bertaburan jika salah caranya...
Sakit...
Sakitnya
Sakitnya Itu Didada ini...

Tuhan,
Bantu aku bantu "itu..keadaan itu.."
Terangkan samar2 jalanku agar aku terpandu untuk memandu...
Hantarkan sedikit simpatiMu
Kurniakan aku keajaibanMu..
Sungguh aku perlukan itu,
Sakit...
Sakitnya
Sakitnya Itu Didada ini...

Ku merangkak mencari cahaya,
Terkadang kudapat cahaya itu..terkadang jauh ianyanya sirna,
Tika itu berdarah tubuh tercalar..namun langkah tetap melangkah..cari lagi cahaya.
Harapkan diri ini teguh..terus menggalas.
Terus genggam..namun untuk lepaskan tidak sekali.
Sakit...
Sakitnya
Sakitnya Itu Didada ini...

Why The Word "NEGRO" Being Objected By Most Of Black People (Written by An Asian mom)

This posting has been made due to the complaint by my mixed black kids whenever they hear the society calling them with the term - "negro"

It is so saddened but I always insist them to let the frustration and the anger go but in the same time its worrying me if that situation could be a disturbance to the mental and emotion, specially when they mix around with local people.

Hereby let us share some knowledge to everyone whom might visit and read my blog.

Dear friends,

The word "Negro" being objected because it was associated with the long history of SLAVERY, SEGREGATION and DISCRIMINATION - treated African Americans as second class citizens, or worse.

By reading this post, we really hope those who has understood and clear about this issue can "walk together" with us in this battle. The battle to spread awareness and to increase the sensitivity among races. We really hope, all parents in the society will raise their children to be the civilize and high mentality standard children for the sake of their future, Raise and educate our children not to mock and humiliate black/African people that they see in our society nowadays.

We are not either selfish or demanding beyond our rights but we are appealing for a positive surrounding so that our mix black children can live happy and healthy just the way local children is enjoying their childhood here in Malaysia.
"Malcolm X referred "black" to "negro", but also started using the term "Afro-American" after leaving the Nation of Islam".
That is if we refer the term to the American "black". How about Malaysian born mix Asian black kids which I am happy to refer them as Afro-Asian kids.

This is some tips that society can apply following their part:

1) AFRO ASIAN MOMMIES,

Let us be positive to help our kids grows happily. Teach them how to be proud of who they're let them believe that black is beautiful. Make them calm an take the meaning of "negro" as not  as bad than just ordinary "black" which something common like other colors in the rainbow.

Black itself sound strong and tough what, keep calm - we're afro-asian lol 😝

2) OTHER PARENTS

It's good if parents in Malaysia beyond races and religions can be able to educate their kids from small to avoid themselves from using any for of words or behavior that might have racist and discrimination act.

Unfortunately, what normally happen is, our little ones learned from their seniors. They practice what they hear, see and taught.

We are still worst in the sentiment of racist, not only towards African or other third world country foreign comers. Malaysian are still a bit racist towards each other (among Malaysian local races)
It would be nice if we can help each other to fix this situation in our country right?

I'm pretty sure that we all wanted the best for our kids. I fight this not only for the sake of Afro-Asians but to everyone here, in Malaysia.

Together we create a positive surrounding for the sake of our future.

Our children.

It's ok if we can change it completely, if we at least can increase the understanding between us. It is good enough. Slowly towards the better is better then act nothing.

"Call them African instead of Negro.
More acceptable"

3) TEACHERS

We really hope, teachers in Malaysia will be more sensitive and play their roles very well in order to educate Malaysian students from their preschool age to respect every races, religions and cultures. Doesn't matter if there's only 1 minority student in the class, he/she need to be respected. They must quickly take any precaution act when they detected any form of bully that might related to racism act among multiracial students at school (eg: mock calling any student using their offensive terms like "negro")

"We need great educators to create the educated students"

With a good understanding and the cooperation from the school administration, we can also create a positive place and surrounding for the students to grow and learn.

4) COMMUNITY

We are the community, the power (to control) is in our hands. Do better be better, For sure we can control the situation. When we manage to control the situation, the rest would be fine. Nothing wrong by showing a good deeds. Just make sure rise our children by giving them good knowledge. Respecting others apart of their race, religion, citizenship and things like that is a noble act.

"Call them African/blak people instead of Negro"
That shows respect, Thank you so much

This Time For Africa Vol 2 _ Our Nigeria Trip

Travel journal yg aku save dalam lappy tak dpt buka cus suddenly lappy tak boleh on.
Entah apa problem

Stressnya!!!

Journal since the first day of our arrival hingga the final day before we depart to the Anambra State.

Hopefully boleh on la bila balik nanti. Cus I really wish to share my travel experience with all of dearly friends yang wanted me to write this on my blog.

This is untuk korang ye guys...

THIS TIME FOR AFRICA :')

SUNDAY 7/7/2014

As early as 6.30am kami bertolak meninggalkan Ondo State.
Hujan pagi ini sangat lebat.
Our destination is Anambra State, where Mama is, where hubby was born
I trust him cus it's really a busy market

no lie ooo

Its make me flash my memory back at suasana kampung di pinggir bandar dan kampung di Malaysia, seriously
I'm used to everything now dan mula rasa selesa and at home.

Kami tiba at Mama's house lebih kurang 1 pm.
Mama, Felicia,William his wife and kids serta beberapa ahli keluarga sudah sedia menunggu.
Mama's house located just by the side of the main road.

aku hormati mereka sebagaimana mereka menghormati peganganku and syukur kami berhasil menghadapinya dgn kasih sayang.

That does matter.
For the whole day mama non-stop menerima tetamu dan
non-stop juga Mama telling others how happy she is.

My sister and brother(s) in-law pun tak kurang baiknya, never fail untuk menyediakan our necessity. They really cherish our presence here.

Syukur...
Hubby were kind to, he take a well care about my kids and my hospitality here.

Since I felt so comfortable and safe, even hubby aren't around. My twins are around and the family is lovely and kind to me.
Nothing to worry, as long as am still in the house area dan tidak keluar tanpa sesiapa temankan.
Nieces and nephews are around, kakak ipar, biras, jadi tak de ape yang perlu ditakutkan.
Dengan izinNya aku sentiasa selamat.
Alhamdulillah.

Thursday 11 July 2014

Final day we're at mama's house.
Esok kami akan bergerak balik to ondo state, where our rental house is.
Hubby decided to shortens our stay in Nigeria regarding unfinish business back in Malaysia,
diorag panggil bus, but it's actually van or MPV charter dari Anambra state ke ondo state.
But puas hati, twins menangis sedikit time nak berpisah dengan nenek, aunty, uncle dan cousin in the village, kesian twins

On Sunday 14 July 2014,
Mac arrange a photographer for the photograph session to snap family portrait kami. Mac dan wife dia juga arrange Nigerian traditional attire for me & my twin
It's spectacularly awesome!!!

I love it. Mummy dpt puji for the whole day, we are perfectly happy.
Right after that, we all went to chill out sambil dengar African music
dekat one of the nearest bar in that town. Esporta Hotel, Ondo Town sambil tunggu
world cup final Germany vs Argentina,
cus masa tu musim world cup.

Hubby & Mac wanted Germany to win and its happen.
We went home happily

--

Hanya menanti hari untuk meninggalkan bumi Africa, penuh berharap
akan bisa jejakkan kaki kesini lagi in the future.

Final day in Ondo

Again,
we hang out at the Esporta Hotel Bar sambil berbual panjang
mendengar international dan local music.

--

Hati sangat sayu when my nephew nangis when he knows that am leaving but I miss my home badly too. I love my beautiful life.

Thank you GOD

Travel To Africa PART 3: Yellow Fever Vaccination

In few posts ago...
I promised to tell ya' about the YFV.

As for Malaysian, salah satu syarat untuk permohonan visa ke negara in the African continent ialah, we need to be vaccinated by the Yellow Fever Vaccination...

It's not too easy cus tak semua klinik/hospital providing this type of vaccine and its a bit costly.
So, I pun sibuklah meng "Google" list of clinics yg ade, rupa2nya xbyk klinik yg provide vaccine ni kt KL, malahan Malaysia just only about 19 places and 5 within KL (anggaran je la)
I found some places dan start calling

Twin Tower Medical Center - KLCC, Prince Court MC, Pusat Perubatan Putrajaya, Hospital Tentera Wangsa Maju, ada yg too costly dan ada yg hanya provides utk government servants yg travel to Africa atas urusan rasmi.

Finally I got the klinik yg provide vaccine ni dgn harga paling murah among all...it's KLINIK KITA, DAYABUMI.

We got the vaccination certification right after bayar...dah boleh submit ke kedutaan...

hoooyeaaah.

Seam Reap,Cambodia Trip...

Hi everyone...

Jadi jam 3.45 dah nak check-in and flight kami take - off tepat pada waktunya.

You know what's funny???

I boleh curious at first sebab tengok tempoh perjalanan pergi dengan perjalanan baliknya tak sama. Pergi 1 jam manakala balik pula hingga 3 jam, sangat pelik hinggalah one of my bff told me that it might be the differentiate of time (with Seam Reap local time) then I make a check dan ternyata memang I confuse kat situ.

Cambodia local time is one hour lewat dari Malaysia.

So, time yang diprinted pada booking ticket tu adalah mengikut waktu tempatan.
Journey took 2 hours till we reached our destination.

Alhamdulillah...

What I did when I reached there was beli local simkad dengan harga USD$3 dekat kiosk yang terletak exactly dekat exit arrival hall,Seam Reap International Airport.
Both my twins sangat excited.
Mummy  & Daddy pun sangat-sangat happy.

so kekok jugaklah.

Pada 30hb April 2014 lebih kurang 10 A.M kami checked-in
di Hotel Terrasse De' Elephant, Seam Reap.

Ohhh nikmatnya, kami tidur dulu sebelum jalan-jalan.

Kami hesitate the status halal of the food permis disini.
Sememangnya agak sukar mendapatkan restoran halal.
Nasib kami sangat baik kerana terdapat sebuah restoran halal Pakistan betul-betul dihadapan hotel kami.
Kami pun makan disini tanpa rasa was-was kerana ada logo HALAL berhadapan restoran tersebut. Restoran Maharajah namanya

Harga makanan di sini adalah antara USD$4 - USD$12 depend on the menu.
Segelas teh ais nya USD$1, sangat murah bukan???
hahahaha..klu convert ke RM??? Memang agak serik lah.
Rasanya Singapore @ Australia pun tak spend macam ni agaknya!!!
Its because matawang mereka sangat rendah nilainya berbanding USD$ dan RM.

HOTEL TERRASSE DE ELEPHANT, SEAM REAP (Day 1- Day 3)

Lets the picture talk

Enjoy....

VISITING ANGKOR WATT (Day 2)

2nd day kami disini, we've decided to visit the most historical destination on earth.
ANGKOR WATT

Taken there by a tuk-tuk, and its also our first time experiencing the tuk-tuk.
Sangat seronok especially the kids.
kids mula lah meragam penat.
Tapi I pujuk-pujuk lah kan, nak visit Angkor Watt ni anak-anak oiii...
selama ni baca kat buku sejarah sekolah je
(tak malu admit that I is jakun)

We bought Angkor Watt entrance pass dengan harga USD$20 seorang
kami pun meneruskan perjalanan ke destinasi.
You wouldn't believe, your photo will be printed on the pass, its true

Tempat jualan ticket dan lokasi Angkor Watt tidaklah dekat sangat.
Still have to take about 15 minutes journey by tuk tuk, perjalanan kami di jamu dengan pemandangan pokok-pokok hutan dikiri dan kanan jalan.
There's no highway in Cambodia.
cus not many of the local people di sana afford to drive kenderaan berat

Namun mereka tidak sekali-kali memaksa lagi sekiranya kami menjawab Later..or No,Thank You.
Rata-rata tuk tuk will charge us about USD$8 - USD$10 setiap satu-satu perjalanan kami for the whole evening.

Ada beberapakali my husband tegur cus I tengok kanan bila nak melintas jalan

Except cuacanya
sighhhhhhhhhhh

Sangat-sangat panas dan sangat-sangat kering...

Enjoy the pictures ya!!!

Selesai visit the Angkor Watt,
Di restoran yang sama demi nak avoid perasaan was was...

3rd day di Siem Reap
 kami jalan-jalan di Old Market.
There's alots of markets here at Siem Reap.
Pasar malam (night market) pun ada.
Old Market ni macam-macam ada daripada bahan-bahan basah
(keperluan harian) hinggalah kepada cenderamata.
Old Market terbahagi kepada pasar basah dan pasar kering.
Batu-batu permata pun ada dijual di sini.
Masa ni I tak shopping apa-apa lagi, just went for window shopping just nak tengok beza harga antara tempat,
just balik ke hotel dan berehat cus masa masih awal lebih kurang 3 P.M local time.

Rehat in the other words bagi my kids was swimming timeeee!!!!
Mummy kena drag jugaklah kalau tak, risau pulak Mummy takut diorang lemas,
cus diorg just pandai berenang di tempat cetek
Loves my kids so much and am happy for them.

Enjoy the pictures again guys...

I pay USD$4 for 1 hour leg massage meanwhile,
hubby and the kids buat pedi and meni for USD$8 per person (without nail-color)

Entah kenapa I ade bace some blogs yang mana bloggers tu dah expirience ke Seam Reap boleh spend only USD$10 siap dapat beli macam-macam tapi for myself, the expenses we spent seems too much (soobbs sobbs).
Maybe because I went there with kids and they went alone.
Mungkin kot kan itu bezanya,

pujuklah diri sendiri yang dah banyak habiskan duit ni huhuhuhuuu...

At the Angkor Night Market, I bought few things such as fridge magnets (USD$1 each), key-chains (USD$1 each), t-shirts (USD$4 each), Ali Baba pants (USD$10 each), cotton silk material (for my mom) (USD$25 each for 4 mtrs), bag (USD$15 each), table clothes (USD$5 each)
just authentic Cambodian products.

MOVING TO THE NEW HOTEL,MEKONG PALACE HOTEL - CHEAPER & NEARER TO THE AIRPORT (Day 4)

4th day, kami pindah ke hotel yang baru. Tujuannya selain inginkan kepelbagaian pengalaman dengan penginapan hotel, ialah  we want to make sure that we won't be late going to the airport on the departure way back to KL next tommorow cus our flight is early in the morning
(8.45 A.M local time)

Hari-hari terakhir hanya kami habiskan dengan berjalan-jalan di sekitar pekan Seam Reap sambil teman hubby shopping, seriously,he shopping worst then a lady!!!
I bet you won't believe!!

PLAN KE TA PHROM DAN FLOATING VILLAGE YANG "GAGAL"

Nothing to explain again rite??? Dgn title kecik perenggan ni let me make it straight and simple yg plan kami nak lawat Ta Phrom dan Floating village terpaksa di batal kan cus of hujan turun dengan sangat lebat bersama-sama hujan dan ribut hingga lewat petang and the location that we wished to go pun might be dah tutup (Angkor Watt tutup 6.30 P.M and am pretty sure that those locations jugak tutup diwaktu yang sama disamping kami harus bersiap-siap packing malam ni cus our flight tomorrow will be early in the morning)

I whispered to him that am sad cus we can't make our last visit cus we might won't be there again
he said that "why not?? we can be here any time if there's chance..."

DEPARTING SEAM REAP,CAMBODIA ON THE 5TH OF MAY 2014
